Come on in

A cozy dayhome.
With a whole lot of heart.

Faith in little moments

Bismillah before a meal. Kindness towards a friend. Gentle introductions to Quran, duaas and the values we share.

Two languages, together

English and Arabic through stories, play and everyday routines. A gentle beginning, even when Arabic is new.

Room to be little

Comfort, caring relationships and time to explore. Play and activities that meet children where they are.

A taste of home

Halal home-cooked meals and snacks, with familiar comforts and conversations about your child’s needs.

Good Islamic foundations happen in everyday moments.

Loving care &
a foundation in Islam

You don’t need to speak Arabic for your child to begin discovering it. Here, English and Arabic are part of play, stories and everyday routines.

My aim is to make Arabic feel familiar and welcoming: an early connection to the language of the Quran that your family can build on as your child grows.

A few questions, answered

Hello

Children’s table, colourful chairs, books and toys in the dayhome photo supplied by Tia.

A little space for big discoveries.

Salam, I’m Tia.

I’ve provided home-based childcare since 2014 and previously taught Arabic and Islamic Studies at Edmonton Islamic Academy for eight years.

I care about helping children feel secure, included and curious as they build early connections to Islam and Arabic. Every family brings its own story, and I’d love to hear yours.

Let’s meet

  • 8 years teaching Arabic & Islamic Studies

With care, Tia

Choosing care is personal.
There’s always room for your questions.

Do we need to speak Arabic at home?

No. Your child can begin with simple words and everyday phrases, with English used alongside Arabic. Families are welcome whatever language they speak at home.

What ages do you welcome?

Children aged 6 months to 5 years. When you get in touch, let me know your child’s age and when you hope to start.

How do you introduce Arabic and Islam?

Through gentle, everyday moments: simple Arabic words, familiar Islamic phrases, duaas, kindness and gratitude. The aim is to build early familiarity with the language of the Quran and nurture a positive connection to Islam, in ways that suit each child’s age.

Are meals halal?

Halal home-cooked meals and snacks are part of the dayhome experience. Please ask about the menu and share any allergies, dietary needs or feeding routines before enrolment so we can discuss what is possible.

Where is the dayhome?

Tia’s Dayhome is in Edmonton, welcoming families from McConachie, Northeast Edmonton and beyond. I’ll share the exact address privately when we arrange a visit.

What are the hours and current openings?

Call or text me to discuss current hours and availability for your child’s age and preferred start date.
